Ryan bareback at PlantationsAustralian rider Ryan Wood has a big year planned for 2009 in the USA.  Ryan will be based in Pennsylvania with Phillip Dutton the Olympic Gold Medalist and 2008 Rolex Kentucky winner.

Ryan bounced back from his fall earlier in 2008 to claim second at Bromont Canada on Wynella Wolverine plus two great results by coming second in the open intermediate riding Wynella Wolverine at Seneca Valley on September 6 and 7 plus riding Rail Road Jim to third place in the Pre Novice ( Training ) category.

Ryan backed up that great result by winning the Area 2 Intermediate Championship at Plantation Fields Horse Trials Pennsylvania on Wynella Wolverine, 21 and 22 September.

This year, Ryan joined in the fun during the CIC*** by riding Susanne Kloud's horse Punch in the bareback exhibition. Pictured right is Ryan & Punch clearing the 5' wall! Photo credit Amber Heintzberger.
